Willem Velthoven

Originally trained in Visual Communications and Art History, Willem founded and developed Mediamatic with many others as a Green Art Centre. He is now leading a very hospitable urban farm with an art and design program including a bio– and a scent–lab. There is an experimental vegan restaurant too.

Always teaching an learning, Willem is on the forefront of new developments in art, technology and society. Currently, his main interests are sustainable hedonism and responsible development.

Specialties: Concept, Design, Management, Trouble Maker and Coach. As a consultant, he will ask hard questions rather than produce thick reports.

In previous times, Willem has been working on many award winning projects: an international magazine, a restaurant, an Arabic department store, a dating agency, new media consultancy, documentary production, communication management, exhibition design and corporate identity, travel agency and art Biennale.
I'm fascinated by technological culture and social context. Sometimes politically active.
