The (colourless) Flag of Whales is depicted using the Diwani Jali Arabic Calligraphy script featuring the words from part the Welsh National Anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau. The first two verses are written in the would be green area behind the dragon, while the second verse (refrain) is written again in the body of the dragon. Various English translations of the song exist but the English translation from which the Arabic was translated (By Susan Wilson and Everitte Barbee) can be seen at the bottom.
Signed limited edition prints of this piece can be found here.
The old land of my fathers is dear to me,
Land of bards and singers, famous men of renown;
Her brave warriors, very splendid patriots,
For freedom shed their blood.
Nation [or country], Nation, I am faithful to my Nation.
While the sea [is] a wall to the pure, most loved land,
O may the old language [sc. Cymraeg] endure.
