Midad celebrates the craft of Arabic calligraphy, tracing its evolution from the beginning of Islam to the present day. The exhibition juxtaposes a variety of media and objects while also commissioning a unique collection of works by contemporary artists that re-frame the understanding and relevance of Arabic calligraphy and script.
