Germain is an Arabic + Latin Typeface

Germain typeface family was designed by Gunnar Vilhjálmsson 2009-2010. Submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the MATD at The University of Reading, Department of Typography and Graphic Communication, July 2010.

Drawing from calligraphic and historical models in both Arabic and Latin scripts, Germain translates traditional shapes into a contemporary context. It respectfully presents issues of a serious nature while lending itself to easy reading. Germain serves news well.
