We can cut each half in two. We then get a split-flap of each half letter. If all (half) Latin and all Arabic characters are in one stack we can make multiple "top-bottom" combinations. Theoretically you're able to write legible texts as well. But maybe the layers in such a stack would be too many. This uses two lines instead of one. Still we can crteat a corridor with the two scripts split. I also wonder if such a thing would be possible with die or laser cut letter forms. That would allow some transparency or light seep through.
Actually, the scripts now can be used independently from each other. The top will show us a sentence or word of top half characters, the bottom its translation in bottom half characters. A second set will show it the other way around. Walking through the corridor should enable to fit the two halves of each language together. Somehow (or not).
