aaUAE is a Dubai registered association. It was launched as a design initiative on 15 November 2006, by a group of design professionals in Dubai. It was later established with the official Dubai authorities, and secured its license to operate in the UAE in April 2007.
aaUAE was created to integrate the design community within the UAE. It provides a forum for dialogue across the related design and professional disciplines of architecture. Through a series of events, lectures and award programs, aaUAE seeks to raise awareness of the need to maintain high architectural standards to achieve lifestyle sustainability in a country that has the chance to build its future now. aaUAE is a forum for architects, designers, and related design disciplines set up to stimulate debate and increase the level of dialogue and discourse among professionals of the architecture and design field, developers and the public community at large.
