Every two years, the Gutenberg City of Mainz becomes the meeting-place for private presses, small publishers, hand presses, book artists and authors. Nearly 360 exhibitors from more than 16 countries and 10,000 visitors meet at the Mainzer Minipressen-Messe and form the greatest marketplace for books by small publishers and artistic prints.

The Mainzer Minipressen-Messe is organized every two years. The City of Mainz is a funding body, the preparations and implementation lie in the hands of an independent project group and the Mainzer Minipressen-Archive of the Gutenberg-Museum; support is provided by the Verein minipresse e.V and by many sponsors.

Fair tents on the banks of the Rhine River in Mainz / near City Hall (Rathaus)

Opening

Thursday, June 2 at 1400 hours, followed by the award of the only prize that promotes small publishing houses in Germany (V.O. Stomps Prize of the City of Mainz) to an outstanding small publisher and to a special magazine by a small publisher in the Fair Tents on the banks of the Rhine River in Mainz.

Saturday, June 4th: 10:00 to 19:30 hours
Sunday, May 5th: 10:00 to 18:00
