The opening of Darb 1718's Cinema El Fourn is Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Center next initiative as an art and culture promoting center to connect Egyptian artists from several walks in the local and international art scene.
Cinema El Fourn is an outdoor cinema showing independent films and documentaries from a variety of genres from Egypt and around the world.

Our mission is support independent movie makers by giving them the space to show their productions, exchange experience and create a community for movie makers and audience where independent movies can be shown and discussed.
Our vision is to increase the awareness on the concept of independent cinema and the important role that it can play in elevating the cinema art in Egypt and the entire world.
Our first cinema nights are schedule for three nights from January 21st to January 23rd, 2010 as follows:
