SIAL Identity

The biggest challenge to this logo was the Arabic characters. I wanted this logo to reflect the authenticity of the institute and it’s location. Originally I intended to use the Thuluth calligraphy script, but after some discussion with some calligraphers, I was directed toward the Kufi script, more suitable for it's Yemeni roots. The door–knocker is an actual door–knocker in the Old City of Sana’a.
