Iranian-born artist Neda Zarfsaz, living and working in Gothenburg, Sweden and Teheran, Iran. Growing up in Iran, cultural changes challenged me to cope with everyday life, but at the same time enriched the source of
my artistic practice. I opted to devote myself exclusively to art by shifting from Math to Visual Arts in my studies; this combination of studies is the source of my artistic method. Currently working with photography, video and large-scale installations I use my inter disciplinary background to develop art projects. My art has been inspired by everyday objects, and material qualities form and alphabet
for my works. Finding a way to use an object that would present itself beyond its identified image, its own properties, and considering its relation to the different level of layers in artistic context.
