REEM HUSSEIN
Visual Artist
American born artist, Reem Hussein has exhibited her multi-media artwork throughout the United States as well as abroad. She has discussed and presented her work in universities such as Yale, Columbia, New York, Hofstra, Rutgers, as well as the University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Hussein lectures on the art of Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures through workshops for students and teachers, as well as lectures sponsored by local non-profit organizations, Long Island Traditions and the Huntington Arts Council. Her career accomplishments, and artwork were profiled in the documentary film “The Ties That Bind”, and have been featured in articles for publications including Newsday and the Chicago Sun Times. She has also exhibited with the Art in Embassies Program in Egypt and Malaysia. She holds a BFA in Interior Design and Objects Restoration, from FIT in New York where she currently lives and works, and is a MFA candidate in LIU’s C.W. Post Campus.
