I am a [third generation] Palestinian Refugee in Syrian. I completed my Masters of Art degree in Cutural Anthropology from Texas Tech University in 2006. My focus in anthropology is on international migration, cultural assimilation among Palestinian immigrants, diasporic and ethnographic studies, sociolinguistics. Currently, I am a PhD student in Fine Arts at Texas tech preparing a research in Form and Content in the modern and contemporary Palestinian Art.. interests: cultural communication between the Middle East and the West. Hybridity in the Arts. Islamic/Arabic and Western/modern abstraction in the visual arts, "Folk" arts from around the globe. Languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, French (ordered by level of mastery).
